An absolutely fantastic stay, especially during what could have been a very stressful situation. My flight was cancelled unexpectedly, and the staff at Castrichella Smart Boutique Hotel Rome Airport went above and beyond to help me at very short notice.
They accommodated me last minute, allowed me to check in a little earlier because I was exhausted after the previous night and the disruption with my flight, and genuinely did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. They gave me excellent local recommendations, helped arrange a taxi back to the airport, and were incredibly helpful throughout my entire stay.
The room was excellent — clean, comfortable, with a great private bathroom, fantastic pillows and very good air conditioning, which made a huge difference after such a long and stressful day.
What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. I didn't feel like I was simply being given a room for the night; I felt genuinely looked after. When travel plans go wrong, having people who are kind, flexible and willing to help makes an enormous difference.
I couldn't recommend Castrichella highly enough. Exceptional service, a lovely room and genuinely wonderful people. I would stay here again without hesitation.

A tidy room convenient to the airport. No complaints.
AC unit is incorrectly installed and leaks the condensation water onto the floor. This is unit 107.
This is the only criticism I have, everything else was perfect.

The best part of the Hotel was the location. We chose the location both for its close proximity to the airport, and for it's location close to restaurants for our last meal in Italy. The hotel excelled in both of those departments. We had an issue checking in which I will describe below, but once we got in, the facility was great. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We would definitely stay there again if we were looking for a hotel near the airport or near a nice restaurant area. The neighborhood felt very safe walking to dinner and back.
We had an issue checking in. The check in process was 100% on a kiosk. There was no one in the building to help us when we had trouble with the check in. Even though I had confirmed our reservation days before check in, the kiosk would not recognize my name or my confirmation number, Fortunately, I had my paperwork with me and was able to locate a phone number to call if needed. The person I talked to was not on site, and she was not happy I had to call her. She would not believe I was not messing up and inputting my information into the kiosk improperly. When I gave her my name and confirmation number over the phone, she insisted my reservation was in the system and I must be doing something wrong. Long story short, when she eventually came to the facility, she discovered the kiosk was not working properly and that I was not entering the information improperly. She insisted it was the first time she had ever seen the kiosk not work. It was quite uncomfortable for me and my family, but as I said, once we got checked in, everything was lovely. I would still give the hotel a good rating, but I was not aware of a 100% kiosk check in from the booking listing, and I think the booking description intentionally left off important information that I needed to have

The guy at the counter was nice and it was a few blocks from the beach.
The walls were paper thin it wasn’t like a hotel. It was hard to find. I think someone lives on the first floor. We accidentally opened their door. The breakfast was not very good. It was way overpriced.
