We visited Lake of Egypt for a family reunion and had a wonderful stay at Hummingbird Haven. The beautiful house surpassed our expectations, especially for the price! The rooms and common spaces were very spacious and the house had all the amenities we needed.We had young children in our group and felt safe with them being out with us on the upper deck because of the gates that enclosed the area. We spent lots of time outside on the shaded deck enjoying the gorgeous lake view.The kitchen had all of the cooking items we needed, and the large laundry room with a huge, new washer and dryer were handy to have. The second fridge/freezer in the basement was also very helpful to have.Two things I would note for families looking to use the lake is that it is a long, steep walk down to the dock. There is a well-maintained stone stairway to get down there but it is a long way down. Also, the water is deep by the dock, too deep for an adult to touch the bottom, so be sure to bring floaties if you plan to swim.Communication from the owner was great. Very clear arrival and check-in/check-out instructions. Erica was quick to answer questions that I messaged her about. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend Hummingbird Haven for your next group vacation!

Beautiful lakefront home in an unbeatable location. It's just steps from the water and minutes from nearby outdoor attractions, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house offers plenty of space for larger groups, with a thoughtful layout that makes it easy to gather or spread out comfortably. The real highlight is the view: whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee or unwinding at sunset, the scenery over the lake is genuinely stunning and makes the entire stay feel like a retreat.

Very Beautiful location but has lots of stairs going down to the water so would not recommend for people with bad knees,etc. House was well laid out. Although a bit dusty was otherwise clean enough
