Our stay at this wonderful independent country hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest of welcomes from the staff, led by the lovely Samantha, whose genuine hospitality immediately made us feel at home. Our deluxe room was beautifully presented and had clearly been prepared with great care. It was spotlessly clean, with towels beautifully arranged and an excellent selection of toiletries. The room had everything we could have wished for, including an abundance of complimentary refreshments, tea and coffee-making facilities, biscuits, a mini fridge and air conditioning. The comfortable king-size bed ensured a wonderfully restful night, while the luxurious tiled bathroom added that extra touch of indulgence. The evening meal was equally impressive, with the food being of an outstanding standard. The steak pie was quite simply the best steak pie for miles around—absolutely delicious and a real highlight of our stay. The following morning brought a hearty full English breakfast, served with a smile by the exceptionally attentive Helen and Michelle. The breakfast was superb, and knowing that the delicious baking and desserts are made by Natallia, a Great British Bake Off contestant, made the experience even more special. We will definitely be returning for her famous fruit crumble desserts! Every aspect of our stay, from the warm welcome and immaculate accommodation to the outstanding food and genuinely caring service, was excellent. It is rare to find somewhere that gets everything so right. If we could give more than the maximum rating, we absolutely would. This was a truly memorable experience, and we cannot wait to return. Everybody and everything excellent. Brilliant room with air con' (no 2 suite) at £138 BB. Wonderful dinner. Very reasonably priced A long time since we have been so impressed from entering to leaving. Immaculate.
