I only stayed in Sunray Hotel 1 night, on a pit stop to Patong.
The lady on reception (sorry I can't remember her name) so was kind when I arrived after a disrupted long haul flight. I notified the hotel I wished to check in early. My room was not ready so this was not possible, however the lady on reception took care of me going above and beyond to ensure I had what I needed until my room was ready.
The small things she did made a huge difference at the end of a tiresome journey.
My only grievance was the room window facing the adjacent building, so there didn't feel like much natural light.

Location was very near the beach and was perfect. There was no view from my balcony but it was ok as I wasn't in the room all the time. There were some bad reviews on google about the place but I dont think they are right. I think it is a good place to stay at an affordable price.
There were some issue with the shower sliding door, but I asked the staff and they fixed it promptly. So no problem there. If you are not expecting 5 star facilities then you will be fine.

Good location, close to beach and beds were comfortable
The night porter took my number from the system and kept texting me on WhatsApp. He also tried to follow me on instagram.. this is was an invasion of privacy and any information given to the hotel shouldn’t be used this way.
