SOMETIMES SALT LOOKS AS SWEET AS SUGAR

I can't not give credit where it is due. So, with that being said, the McAlester Taigh house is very spacious, with over 3k sqft offering a wide open concept, 2 large bedrooms, and a good-sized family bathroom, plus a very large Master bedroom with 2 large walk-in closets and a very large master bath. This home is beautifully decorated in a subtle coastal theme . Unfortunately, this is the ONLY good thing I have to say about it. There's an old saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover" for a reason!! I do NOT blame the home owner, I blame the company they have entrusted in to manage their property and listing! Be sure to read the lengthy detailed "WHAT DIDN'T YOU LIKE" section so you don't make the same mistake I did!

For starters, this is going to take a whole lot more than just 2 or 3 sentences, but I'll try to narrow it down (probably not) using a less detailed strategy. Here goes.... DOES NOT STATE ANYWHERE PRIOR TO BOOKING THAT HOTTUB IS BROKEN AND POOL IS UNHEATED! The pool AND hottub heater IS there as well as the transponder for the hottub, but neither are in working condition. I did not even get any of this information until an hour and a half before our departure, which is when VACASA finally sent a "Hope you enjoyed your stay" text with a link containing the "agreement" and all the detailed BS they neglect to include in the listing which was supposed to be sent to me prior to my check-in! Wow, a whole lot of good that does me at check-out! Mind you, this was also after 4 different complaint calls about this home over my short 5-day stay! NOTE: The way they worded the info about the pool and the hottub made it VERY clear this was NOT their first complaint from a customer who was MISLED to believe they were getting a heated pool and hottub! I filtered my results to the specifics I wanted, and this home should have NEVER come up in those filtered results! Called support about the heater not working on the pool and hottub, and I was TOLD OVER THE PHONE that pool was not heated, and I didn't have access to the hottub... IT'S LITERALLY BUILT INTO THE POOL!! All they could say was, "I'm sorry." NEXT, better think twice if you're looking forward to using that nice big jacuzzi tub in the master bath. Sure, you can take a "Confined swim" in the large tub... WITH HEATED WATER... but the JETS DO NOT WORK UNLESS YOU HOLD YOUR FINGER ON THE BUTTON THE WHOLE TIME! When I called support, all I got again was... "I'm sorry." NEXT, here's a list of the rest...
