- Arrivée indépendante, très bien expliqué via message whatshapp avec toutes les explications nécessaire
- Parking privé et gratuit
- à l’écart du centre ville mais assez proche en voiture 10min, à pied 30min. Arrêt de bus également tout prêt en 10min au centre ville
- vue imprenable sur la ville et l’océan
- Petit déjeuner préparé tous les matins, certaines choses sont sur demande (ex : œufs, etc), fruits frais, assez bon dans l’ensemble
- Chambre faite tous les jours, très propre
- Personnel très gentil et serviable
- Fidèle aux photos, très bel endroit
- Bruits assez présent, on entends les voisins des chambres adjacentes, également le bruit tôt dans la cuisine le matin du à la préparation du petit déjeuner par les Housekeeper
- Pas de Clim, un ventilateur bruyant à la place, ok si période pas trop chaude
- Salle de bain assez vieillissante pourrait être rafraîchi mais reste convenable

My room was very nice and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. The housekeepers were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a nice assortment and I noticed some guests had special order eggs. The location is very quiet and peaceful - it's the opposite of being in town. This can be good if you like a peaceful setting or challenging if you like shops and restaurants nearby.
It is very important to watch the video on the check in process which I did not do so that is on me. I had a code to get in the gate and a code for the room, so thought I was good, but there were more instructions. Like . . . the mechanical box is in the carport, not near the front door. The mechanical box is also a little high for a person that is 5'4", so I had to find my readers and a block to stand on so I could see the numbers. It took 15 min when it should have been 30 sec max and I was getting very frustrated that I could not see the numbers clearly to open the box. I am a real estate agent so I know how to work a lockbox. This property is like a B&B, not a hotel, so there was no one around when I needed help at 4pm on a Sat at check-in. I shared all this with the manager, Luis. He said they did have an emergency number that I could have called. Another important thing to know is the level. The posting says first level, but my room was on the second level for visitors from the US. The Maderians consider the ground level as 0 and the next floor as first. There are approximately 16 steps to navigate and that was not easy with a 45# bag. There is no A/C or pool, but thankfully it did cool down some at night. If you like it cold when you are sleeping, book a hotel in town. The location is about a 20 min walk to town on the east side of Funchal, so it can feel a little isolated. I did not have a car, so when in town, I had to make sure to eat dinner and buy bottled water before taking a taxi as the area surrounding the property is residential. From the Monte cable car to the property it was 15 euro each way. It's much easier to walk down into town than up. There is a very small pebble beach about 10-15 min from the property. You need to be fit to get down the steps, but's it's peaceful and good for swimming. There is also a beach club another 5 minutes away from the beach just mentioned with an elevator to get to the pools.

Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Lage oberhalb von Funchal. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und gepflegt jedoch schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Das Hauspersonal ist sehr zuvorkommend zwei Damen sind vormittags bis nachmittags vor Ort und bereiten ein sehr ausgezeichnetes Frühstück zu. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und sind sehr sauber. Täglich wurden mehrere Flaschen Mineralwasser kostenlos vom Hauspersonal zur Verfügung gestellt .
Eine Klimaanlage wäre gut gewesen ist aber in keinen Zimmern vorhanden, es wird aber ein Ventilator zur Verfügung gestellt .
