About this docked boat rental
A touch of Paradise on Strawberry Island. Please enjoy a unique west coast experience calmly resting on our float home just a quick boat ride across from downtown Tofino. Rustic, fully furnished accommodations with all the comforts of home but the feeling of the wilderness all around you. Float home studio with queen, bunk and hide a bed & full bath. Complimentary boat taxi provided by hosts for our guests. BBQ, Stove, Fridge and fully stocked with everything you need. Hosts are also long time local fish guides, crabbing, prawning, hot springs & wildlife tours for guests at a nominal cost. Bring your kayaks right out our front doors. Joel and Pearl were excellent hosts. Whenever we were ready to go ashore or come back to the boathouse, they were always prompt! Very friendly people. The houseboat itself was very clean and the beds were phenomenal! The kitchen was very roomy and clean. If you’re looking to cook with spices or just need sugar, bring your own as there is just salt and pepper to use. There’s a nice counter to sit at as well as a dining table. The bathroom, again very clean, is quite spacious, but if you’re a larger person the shower is quite confining. The living room was quite comfortable with a couch, table for playing games and a chair with ottoman. There’s also a propane heater which takes the chill off quickly. The added bonus of a fishing hole in the living room increased our enjoyment of watching the wildlife. So much wildlife to watch, I regretted immensely not bringing the kayaks! If you got ‘em, bring ‘em. As there is no TV or WIFI, there were some books and ample games and cards to play (and again the fishing hole) for entertainment. We were there for 4 nights and were never bored! They have a fire pit/stove on the dock, but you need to bring your own firewood. You can BBQ as well but need to share if there are other rentals occupying space.I would definitely come back!

One of the most wonderful and unique experiences I've ever had! Easy to communicate our boat ride back and forth from the houseboat to shore and the hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly.

A huge thank you to the wonderful hosts and team at Strawberry island for an amazing and unique two nights in tofino. The houseboat was so charming and homey, the pet friendly location made bringing along our dog so easy, and the porthole in the living room floor opportunity to crab from our doorstep was unforgettable.

Great location in the harbour. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats and the float planes and sitting on the dock observing the marine life and sunsets. The property is really one big room. We were three adults and it suited us fine. I am not sure that it is as suitable for young children.Our host Pearl was great, ready to transport us when asked.
