The staff were wonderful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The food was good and the views from the restaurant were beautiful. As expected by the name they are located right on the beach. We booked activities right on the property. Such as a sunset sail, which I highly recommend. Also booked a snorkeling trip that was most excellent. The water in Zanzibar is the most beautiful I've ever seen, and I live in Hawaii. It is so clear & clean and the most gorgeous colors of blue & turquoise. The water temperature is perfect too. It's amazing how far the tides go out at low tide. I accidentally left a cardboard tube with original art I had purchased in Tanzania by the registration desk upon leaving. The manager there arranged for it to be delivered to the place I had moved to in Jambiani. I am so grateful! I highly recommenc staying at Furaha Beach House if you visit Kendwa. This is a small cute hotel, that is quite homey. It has unique handcrafted decor. Our room had a large bath, and there was lots of space. It is fairly difficult to find, but right on Kendwa beach. Basically it is a restaurant with a few rooms attached. The included breakfast was huge! Our biggest problem was that the power went out several times during our stay, and the longest outage lasted 7 hours. During that time a generator was used that was quite loud, and the AC didn’t work. When it did work, the AC was barely able to cool the room.
