Lively place with amazing people and a great atmosphere. It’s right in the city centre, so everything is super close and easy to reach. There are events every few days, so there’s always something going on and you’ll never get bored, but at the same time, quiet time and rest are always respected. I had a really great experience and would come back whenever I get the chance!

This is a great budget hostel in the heart of El Medano.

Located in the nice central area of the town, on the southern coast of Tenerife. A public beach (1min away) and more wild beaches are nearby (ex. 30 min walk to the more beautiful Playa de Tejita). Restaurants, supermarkets are all in 5 min walking distance. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking, the bunk beds are good (not shaky, not creaky, new sheets and pillows, with the curtains for some privacy). The staff is friendly.

My personal (largely subjective) experience in the mixed shared room was not the very pleasant. To be fair, it’s something to be expected from a budget hostel: the air in the room was staffed, there was little space and little light. The doors are easy to slam by accident, as there are no mechanisms to cushion the closing. When visitors hang out in the hallways, in the common areas of the hostel as well as in the street, the noise becomes considerable. It may be a nice place to hang out and make new acquaintances with other travelers, but it’s not really adapted to co-work or find some peace after an intensive day.
