Everything we needed in the room.. the shower was hot and the room was clean. The best part was the host. She was super helpful and went out of her way to help us.
Nothing but as a whole the island has many new developments being constructed so be mindful.

Th room was comfortable and clean, and the location was very convenient, just 10 minutes from the center of Labuan Bajo. It’s also a great base for both organizing boat trips to Komodo National Park and exploring the inland areas of Flores by road. We had dinner at the homestay, and it was really good, freshly prepared by Ellen and her team.
And then, its main strength: the people. Ellen and her colleagues are incredibly kind and welcoming. They greeted us with Indonesian coffee and biscuits, took the time to understand our plans, and helped us organize our trip.
We were in Flores the week after the earthquake on August 15th, and we had been told that some roads were closed and that it wouldn’t be possible to travel inland. The staff at the homestay informed us that this wasn’t the case and that, by slightly adapting our itinerary, we could still explore the inland areas. They helped us reorganize the tour and even found a driver for us.
So, whether you already know what kind of trip you want to take or you prefer to completely rely on local guides, a visit to Flora is absolutely worth it. They truly know the area and have explored it extensively, discovering hidden gems and less crowded places to show visitors. And above all, it will be a real pleasure to spend part of your time in Flores with such kind and fun people. This is something you won’t find in a guidebook or in a video. This is Flores for real, and its people are wonderful.

The person who took care of us was absolutely lovely—attentive and genuinely helpful, and they gave us great tips for things to do. The price is unbeatable for Labuan Bajo.
Despite the above—and fully aware of how low the price is—I didn’t find the accommodation comfortable, either in terms of the facilities or its distance from the city center. I hate to say it because they’re truly lovely, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re on a very tight budget.
