Silver Oasis Maldives

Aamiainen oli perusMalediiviläinen tai listasta valittuna hyvinkin mielenkiintoinen. Kaikki sujui kuten oli sovittu. Erittäin ystävällisiä ja tullaan varmaan käyttämään tätä hotellia toisenkin kerran.

The staff were lovely and so friendly and helpful, both in the hotel and where we are breakfast every morning We were greeted at the dock as we got off the speedboat from the airport and waves off as we left on the speedboat. We were taken to and from the hotel by a golf buggy . We loved the bikes that were free to explore Huraa and cycle to bikini beach everyday, as well as being given a tour of the island on our 1st morning. We were given beach towels as well as room towels. We were made to feel so welcomed. Our room was comfortable and had a balcony looking straight to the beach ( not bikini beach though) . The breakfast was a few set choices. The mocktails( no alcohol allowed on Huraa) in the restaurant were delicious as were the menu choices we choose to pay for.US dollars are accepted and we found preferred when paying for trips in . We really enjoyed our stay at Silver Oasis and the local island of Huraa.

There was a smell in the bathroom at times.

LOCATION is perfect for relaxation, enjoying peace, soul searching, I love roaming the whole island by bicycle, interesting to go to beaches, playground, port, mangroves areas, catching crabs. at NIGHT - I am so happy staying in a hammock till 3am, so relaxing. BEACH - there are 3 beaches in this HURRA Island, 2 is for LOCALs and 1 is for TOURIST. For LOCAL beaches there are restriction - we have to respect their cultures. Food - there is so much of food choices, normally local food but its delicious. STAFFS - are so welcoming, so supportive thank you so much for the wonderful stay.

the staff is kind and tries to help but appart that I dont recommend booking this property at all. I dont understand other reviews : they must come from people who directly go here from the airport and who have no comparison in the maldives. We arrived here after 14 days backpacking visiting 5 different little GH and this was not a good surprise.

I booked a room with a view, and Booking proposed me an upgrade with a balcony which I declined because it was a smoking room (I am a non smoker traveling with a child...) When I arrived, I got the number 2 room (second floor) which has a direct magnificient view ...on the kitchen / the back of the building! Impossible to keep the curtains open if I wanted privacy. So i had to chose between privacy or daylight. (and i am not speaking about kitchen smell). The door of our room was directly opening into the restaurant, next to the freezer...we were lucky not to be bothered with noise but I imagine in the season... We had no water running in the toilet so I asked for a bracket, and just a very small cold stream in the shower, not even sufficient for a shower (and i am not speaking about shampoo), so they gave us a 10L bottle of mineral water... AC was noisy and not properly working, while electricity in the room is...interesting : you can play finding out which button is working. Many things are broken or malfunctionning. Booking description of the room also included a refrigerator and a minibar, which were both absent. Little balcony of 1 sqm was there that you can't use, even to hang any rope because the AC would be leeking on it (facing kitchen also) So to sum, even with a discount this room was absolutely not worth the price I paid. The island is ok if you only want to witness true malidivian life, but there is no dream beach : the public beach just in front of the building faces the back of the four season hotel, it has very strong currents making it dangerous for a child to swim. There is a huge banian tree on that beach inhabited by many bats who feed here and shit on you if you go swimming...it can be funny for a while but not everyone will appreciate that. The bikini beach is far, and also having lots of dangerous streams so the children are not safe there either...and there is no reef next to it so you can forget about good snorkelling.
