Top Lage in der Centro Storico. Zimmer und die ganze Unterkunft sehr sauber. Check in online.
Trotz Gemeinschaftsbad sehr hoher Komfort.
Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.
Die kleine Gasse wo der Eingang ist, riecht ein bisschen wenn man Nachts ankommt.

The location is right in Málaga's historic city center, so no complaints there. The building itself is beautiful, and the apartment is newly renovated, modern, and very well equipped. The rooms and bathrooms are new, and the spacious common area has pretty much everything you could need: a fridge, stove, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, etc. Everything looks great and feels high quality. Credit where it's due.
First and foremost: THIS IS A SHARED APARTMENT.
I genuinely had no idea what I'd signed up for. The listing does a remarkably good job of making the shared nature of the accommodation easy to miss. I was dumbfounded when I realized I'd be sharing a bathroom with other guests.
Now, I could take the blame for not reading carefully enough. Except I met another guest who was equally surprised to discover she'd booked a room with a shared bathroom. She was pretty upset about it, too. So clearly, I'm not the only one who missed this rather important detail.
Sharing a bathroom with one or a few people might be perfectly fine for some. It isn't for me. I wanted privacy, and at this price, I certainly expected it.
Then there's the noise. The hallway echoes like crazy. Every door opening, every footstep, every little sound travels through the apartment. Even when people try to be considerate, there's practically no way to move around without disturbing someone.
And the access system? That's a whole adventure of its own.
You enter the building, apartment, and your room using your phone through a website. Sounds convenient, right? Until you leave your phone in your room to go to the bathroom - a completely normal thing to do - and realize you've locked yourself out.
No phone. No way to call anyone. Just you, standing in the hallway, questioning the genius behind this system.
Yes, there's a keypad where you can enter an access code. But who memorizes a random code when it's saved on their phone? The same phone that's now locked inside the room. Brilliant.
And to top it all off, one morning the water stopped working for about an hour. Naturally, this happened while I was in the middle of a shower. You can imagine how thrilled I was.
The bottom line:
My biggest issue is how poorly the shared accommodation aspect is communicated. It's a pretty fundamental detail that should be impossible to miss when booking.
