Quiet, secluded, typical northwoods 1950’s but updated cottage! GREAT location, cabin is close to the water so could hear waves against the shore, loons, ducks, boats. Weather was quite good. One thunderstorm which we loved. Very few mosquitoes (dry year?) heard nighttime owls, frogs. Reminded me of childhood grandparents cottage in northwest Wisconsin. Beds were very comfortable, great water pressure in shower, plenty of hot water, window air conditioner adequate for living area, (Only used for 2 days) water tasted very good from the faucet, many kitchen appliances available for use, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper & extra trash bags. Quick responses from local manager.
Advertised that has a washer & dryer: it does not. Went to local laundromat which was fine. A few maintenance issues which have been addressed with the management company. Not a swimmable location. Lots of weeds & lily pads. (I brought a kayak with me which was great to paddle among them, seeing turtles, frogs, etc) Know this is not a luxury cottage. It’s ( wonderfully) rustic, has a few spiders and spider webs, other critters, but very comfortable. But this is the northwoods! Heavily wooded so critters live here.
