The accommodation comprises hotel style rooms in one building, they are all large and comfortable and largely what you expect from this type of accommodation. Although we went in winter, the pool looked inviting. There is an adjacent common lounge with an honesty bar. A short walk away (few hundred meters) is the self catering cottage, which is its own building set amongst the vineyards and guava plantation. I found this to be very comfortable, the fireplace was very useful, it also has its own pool with mountain views. The cottage has everything you need for a decent self catering stay. There is a pantry off the kitchen which didn't have running water for the sink, washing machine or dishwasher which was a little odd. If i was to nitpick the cottage could do with some TLC, The verandah pergola was rotting, there a few damp issues throughout and none of the doors are very windproof; but this did not detract from the stay at all.
Flies. I can only summise the flies come from the dropped guava fruit throughout the orchard. They were incessant. Breakfast was served at the restaurant down the hill, which is easily accessible from the cottage, but a longer walk from the hotel rooms. Its not difficult or steep, but we lodged with elderly folk who found it difficult to walk the distance with dodgy hips and knees. Breakfast is ordered off the menu with all cooked food options. Very decent food and portions, but if you like cereals and fresh fruit and yoghurt and that sort of thing, then you out of luck. It also took a while to prepare - but the restaurant is lovely with a cosy fireplace and the staff are very friendly. Restaurant also only opens at 8, so no early starts...

Great location, beautiful setting and pleasant spacious rooms. Beautiful pool area with a view of the mountains. Very good wifi and friendly staff.
No hot water for the first 24 hrs - management didn't notice until we raised it so day 1 was cold showers but once they knew they fixed it quickly.
There are some small things in the rooms that need improvement, the beds throw pillows were noticeably dirty, there was no rooibos tea, milk or bath soap in the room. These are small things that wouldn't stop me from coming back but could be improved.
