About this cottage rental

Situated in Bancroft, this attractive cottage for $227 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Batelle Lake is a gorgeous private lake with amazing views. Great multi family vacation spot that comfortably sleeps 6 adults with their own bedrooms, with a bunk bed room and an additional futon in the entertainment room! The lake has no motor boats and the water is deep water making it peaceful and safe for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding or a scenic canoe ride. Please look at our home and we look forward to hosting you. The space We supply all the necessities, linens, towels, all the cookware and utensils you could possibly imagine, laundry, air conditioning for the summer and propane heat for the winter (with a wood burning stove and we supply the wood) so you are always at the perfect temperature. The city of Bancroft is just 10 minutes away where you can also visit the shops restaurants and micro brewery. Lots of trails nearby for hiking or biking, Silent Lake, Eagles Nest and Algonquin National Park all within 15-30 minute drive. Weather is not ideal? No Problem! We also have a large collection of board games, a small library of books, a foosball table, satellite TV and flat screen TV or large projector to watch any of the 200+ movies/TV shows we have available for a cozy movie night. Here is a full list of what we provide: - Pillows - Blankets - Linens - Towels - Dish Soap/Laundry Detergent - Toilet Paper - Water Tower Jug - Propane BBQ - Pots/pans, kitchen appliances, dishes, cutlery, ect. - Laundry on Site - Small library of novels ranging from children to adult. - Large collection of board games - Large family room around a wood fireplace with Spotify music. - Large theater room in the basement with HD projector and HD flat screen TV. - Foosball table and a large assortment of DVDs, Blu-rays, and video games available for those rainy days Guest access All space and facilities in the home are available to our guests. Private cupboards and storage facilities are marked. Water toys are also included and to be used at owners own risk. Other things to note Silent Lake National Park and Algonquin National park are both within 30 minutes driving. All amenities like the grocery store, liquor store, restaurants and drug store are within a 10-15 minute drive. Pet Cleaning fee will be applied for your pet

We had a wonderful stay here! Everything was provided and it was clear that the hosts had thought everything through. Not to mention the lake was gorgeous, and plenty of entertainment was available in the house. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway with my family! Will definitely be coming back :)

We genuinely enjoyed our stay at this really beautiful and very well maintained cottage. It was a home away from home. We loved that everything was well labelled in the house, all instructions were clear. The host was always available to help us through messages. The house is setup perfectly. All the solar lights were so strategically placed. I should say, one of the most well lit cottages in the neighborhood. Our dog had the best time of his life. We can’t thank the host enough for all that was provided to make our stay so special. The only trouble we had was the very very high standard and expectation of the host in terms of cleanliness and furniture placement. We had to move the coffee table to use the space for a celebration. Plus we moved the dining table a little towards the window to add some walking space since there is very little walking space in that area. We were asked a lot of questions and were told that we shouldn’t have done that after we checked out of the place. It really wasn’t clear in the instructions that we have to keep everything back in the place EXACTLY where we found them plus the furniture should look just like how we found them in the listing pictures. Another thing, we did a lot of cleaning and left the place super clean and tidy despite knowing that we have already paid additional cleaning fees. We are very neat and tidy bunch of people. We like keeping the place clean even after we leave. However, we were told that the clean pots and pans that we left near the sink for drying should have also been placed back in the drawers. Really??? We’ve never been asked to do that at any other rental. Anyways, if that is what was required, then again, it should have been specified in the instructions manual. Another thing, the mattresses are spring mattress. Not so comfortable to sleep on. Overall, we had a super super fun and luxurious trip. So once again we really want to thank the host for all that was provided.

Jannett and Chris were fantastic as was the property. Everything we needed was there and Jannett and Chris were responsive and available whenever we needed. Check in was easy and the place was set up beautifully for our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and would definitely return again!

We had the most relaxing getaway in recent memory, all thanks to the hosts attention to detail in making the cottage and the property guest ready. The lake and surroundings are beautiful and will have us returning next summer.

The house was perfect. Our family had a great time. Amenities were wonderful except for the stairs to the water, no air conditioning and the beds were not the most comfortable. The stairs were definitely an issue for young and old, and therefore we would not be able to rebook. Thanks for everything!
