Location. Excellent. Public transport stops are right nearby—directly across from the building. It takes about 20–30 minutes to reach the city center, including waiting time for transport. Public transport is very comfortable and runs frequently. There are three grocery stores within walking distance, as well as a Turkish shop that is open on Sundays. Kiosks selling sausages and doner kebabs are also located nearby. The train station, just a minute's walk away, has a bakery that opens at 5 a.m. on weekdays; they sell delicious fresh bread. Building entrance. There are stairs leading to the elevator—something to consider if you are traveling alone with a suitcase. The elevator is small but fast and clean. There is a drinking fountain downstairs by the elevator, making it convenient to fill up a water bottle. Apartment. Spacious, with high ceilings. It was well-equipped with chairs, dishes, and other essentials. Both a capsule coffee maker and a standard one are provided. There is no air conditioning, but each room has a fan (three in total), as well as roller blinds and standard curtains to block out street light. The mattresses on both beds are very comfortable. The Wi-Fi is fast and stable. The apartment itself features a vintage style. The bathroom retains its original stained-glass window and has a small ventilation window facing the stairwell (which can be opened), as well as a small peephole in the door to see who is arriving. That was unusual. The same applies to the small window in the toilet, which opens onto the shared central courtyard (a "well-style" courtyard). It was my first time encountering something like that.
I wouldn't call these downsides—just nuances. The first is the noise. There’s nothing to be done about it; you just have to accept it. The apartment windows face the metro line, and the surface train runs right at the level of the second-floor apartment, so it’s quite noisy. The noise is much quieter with the windows closed, but those who are light sleepers used earplugs, and everything was fine. The second issue was that the floors weren't entirely clean. We wanted to wash them but couldn't find a mop cloth. There was a vacuum cleaner, but the brush attachment wouldn't stay connected to the tube, making it difficult to vacuum. Third: stained towels. Unfortunately, two out of the 12 towels had stains. It would be great if this were monitored more carefully. Another point: you need to be prepared for the fact that in Austria, you have to register all guests staying in the apartment, provide their addresses, and upload photos of their ID cards. That came as a surprise to us, too. We were given the keys and check-in instructions only after registering the guests and uploading a passport scan.

Stół i krzesła w kuchni rozchwiane.
