NO LIKE. The management of this apartment did not send me email with code, did not respond to my calls at all, neither that day nor next day. I called Booking.com, spoke to AI assistant and even a real person. I received a lot of phone numbers to call, emails to send my inquiry. No response from any of these phone numbers. It was terrible, frustrating, and hopeless. Bad, bad, bad. Three person, 77, 80 and 75 years old, were standing in front of the door hopeless. Booking.com should have its own emergency connection with facility management.

Close to park run, nice garden in sun, nice to find property in Lewes for wedding
Poor water pressure.
The list of rules is very aggressively informed, an extremely long list.
Hard to find - trees need cutting back as number from pavement not visible.
No option to drop off bags early when requested as had a wedding to go to.

Location is excellent close to Lewes which is a great town for shopping and history, very near to the old Victorian open air Lido and best of all close to the South Downs Way and many walks. The property is cosy but tired and in need of upkeep.
There were a number of problems with this property. The biggest was that we had no hot water or heating for the first 24 hours. We reported this straight away but were given no tangible help and it was only remedied when we worked out how to switch the boiler on ourselves. The kitchen lights were not working which was also reported and not addressed. The property needs some TLC both inside and in the garden which has been allowed to become over grown. The kitchen is not well equipped and only small frayed towels were provided. The shower over the bath is very weak and barely functional. Our biggest annoyance was that despite raising the issues, no help was given and no apology or compensation was offered. In its current state the Hideaway represents poor value for money.
