Hosted a family party and the chalet came perfectly equipped with tons of space. Do prepare to bring your own linens and towels. 5 min drive to the main village and a local beach. Would highly recommend!

Our group of 10 enjoyed a fantastic stay at the chalet this past Canada Day! Having been tasked with organizing a golf weekend for a bachelor party, my primary objective was to find a space that could sleep our party comfortably, while offering a great space to congregate and socialize after our day trips. The property was perfect, and check-in was a breeze. Everybody had a bed of their own, and the open concept top floor was a fantastic space to spend time together, prepare food, and enjoy the weekend. I would happily come back to Gateside Chalet for any future, large group gatherings. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great stay at this property. Everything was well stocked and living room allows to sit everyone. Don’t forget bed linens and towels. These won’t come with your booking. There were also no hand towels in the washrooms or kitchen, which was a bit of a misunderstanding. I have one recommendation. We could use the hot tub because of the stormy weather. The hot tub is situated right next to the parking lot, right in a wind tunnel. There is no wind protections or privacy. Xx Maybe it’s better to place the hot tub further back in the backyard or at least install a screen for privacy and protection. Overall we really enjoyed the stay, and would recommend the chalet.

I stayed here with a group of 13 adults - everyone was really impressed with the quality of the chalet. For a short weekend away it was perfect - clean, spacious, had everything we needed in the kitchen. The weather was incredibly hot and the AC worked excellently.

We had a wonderful pre-Christmas getaway, there were two families of five staying in the property. The location is superb - less than a 5-minute drive from Blue Mountain and is the end unit of 3 with a wrap-around deck. There’s a gorgeous view of the mountain that can’t be beat and is very private. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor (1 queen, 2 with two twins), 3 bedrooms on the lower level (1 queen, 1 with twins, and 1 with a bunk bed which has a twin and a double) and the kitchen and living room are on the top floor - all 3 bathrooms are on the main level. All bedrooms have excellent storage except for the one with the bunk beds. The bathrooms lack storage which was a bit frustrating at times but there’s plenty of storage for coats and boots/shoes and tons of storage in the kitchen. There are 3 fridges in the kitchen, although one wasn’t working while we were there so plenty of room to store your food. The hot tub is tucked in the corner at the front of property, similar to all of the other properties around. It would have been nice if it was on the deck instead but it makes for a nice polar walk. LOL It would be nice if there was a blender, spice rack, salt and pepper, tissue boxes, and some basic board games (puzzles, Charades, Chess, Checkers, Monopoly, cards, etc) as other options for entertainment. There were only 11 drinking glasses when we were there, perhaps the previous parties broke some? Anyway, with 10 people, we constantly ran out of glasses, so had to use mugs to drink out of. If you have young kids, bring your own plastic tableware as there’s no cups, bowls or plates or utensils for younger children. We also understand that because of liability a wood burning fireplace isn’t possible but a gas fireplace that gives off heat would have been nice. We loved the lighted tree which gave off a festive atmosphere and there was plenty of seating in both the upper and lower living rooms, and at the kitchen table. The owner was extremely prompt and responsive to all of our questions and very patient at that. In conclusion, this was a great place for two families to have some pre-Christmas downtime and get in some skiing too. We would highly recommend staying here for a winter vacation as we did or a summer one as there is plenty to do in the Village during all seasons.

The property was clean and comfortable for our short family gathering. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals and the hot tub was a treat. Please note that all the bathrooms are next to each other on the entry floor in the event that poses a challenge for those sleeping on the lower floor. Communication was prompt and helpful.
