The Marloes is in a fabulous location, about a 5 minute walk to Earl's Court tube, close to buses and a large Tesco. I enjoyed my studio, having a washer/dryer was wonderful, and the space was appreciated. The room was clean and space to store clothes. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked with plates and glasses. Probably not enugh to cook a real meal, but I'm on holidays so not planning to do that.
I may have been misled by the advertising, but in hindsight it felt more Air BnB to me, than luxuty aprtment hotel. Advertising mentioned a welcome pack, which for my stay turned out to be some apples, sugar, long life milk sachets and 4 nespresso pods. My stay was for 4 nights so perhaps you get more spoiled by the bread, butter and milk from a nearby farm mentioned on their website. I was also given 2 rolls of loo paper, and when I asked for more, was asked "if I really need it". Well. Yes. (WTF?) On checkout I mentioned this and was told that's the kind of thing I would have to restock myself.
While the room was spacious, the bathroom really lacked storage space and this is one of my absolute pet peeves in a hotel or apartment. Nowhere in the shower to put my products, and then absolutely nowhere near the sink to store makeup, skincare etc. Barely anywhere to store the toothbrush. I stayed in smaller hotel rooms on my trip that had more thoughtful storage.
The other thing I didn't love was that I was placed on the ground floor as I believe the only apartment down there. As a solo female traveller I don't love that, even though Earl's Court feels quite safe.

Well equipped although we would have liked more knifes (eg bread knife)
The noise from upstairs, we struggled to sleep because we could hear footsteps above us (even when in the shower)

Recently refurbished to a high standard.
The person on reception upon arrival was extremely rude due to a problem with the link (their end) to secure a £350 deposit prior to checking in. I was made to feel like a criminal and instructed to go and sit over there and wait 15 minutes!
If I hadn’t already paid for the accommodation I would have walked out and checked into a hotel.
