The location: walking distance to Village Grocer supermarket, excellent restaurants especially Japanese and a good Malaysian foodcourt. It was kept clean by the efficient onsite staff. It has a drinking water dispenser, comfortable beds, ensuite Asian-style bathroom. There are 2 ironing boards with irons in the upstairs hall. There’s a large fridge where guests can keep labels food. It was easy to communicate with the offsite manager. There’s a snack/drink dispensing unit in the cool lobby on the first floor. I recommend Luna.
The fact that there’s no pool is reflected in the low price. The larger (visually more elegant) rooms are downstairs and two front the busy road, so I asked to change to the back - upstairs to a smaller but very quiet room where I happily spent a week. As I always stay in Penang a month or two and am a budget traveller, I alternate accommodation between more expensive places with pool and less expensive with no pool. This works well for me, so I’ll definitely be back to Luna.
