A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have dumps and ruts, particularly after it rains. Please take it slow and don't veer too far off the packed dirt and you'll be fine! Events & Commercial Photoshoots: Not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees. THE DESERT IS WILD! The remote desert is home to coyotes, spiders, scorpions, wild dogs, snakes, and lots of pokey cacti! You will be fine, just use common sense and be careful. It's very difficult to keep every bug out, especially if doors/windows are left open or it's been very hot lately. I recommend relying on AC/fans when it's hot because of this. Temperature and weather extremes are common; including high winds, dust storms, occasional flash floods, and temperatures ranging from the 30s past the 100s Fahrenheit. Also since we are in California, wildfires and earthquakes can happen!
