Wouldn’t recommend.

Location.

Bathroom requires upgrade. Dated and inadequate for family. Remote agency contact does not give same service and attention to detail/supplies. Poor value for cost of stay compared to other similar properties.

Great location on Barra

The location was beautiful.

The house smelled a bit musty when we arrived. There's another house next to this property which was having some construction completed. The workers shared our parking space and had to walk right through the property to access their work, which was somewhat disconcerting. Everything else was fine.

Barra is beautiful, this house is sadly not

Beautiful surroundings and location. Lovely neighbours! When we booked this last year (if not the year before) we got lovely personal responses from the owner who seemed very pleasant. The WiFi works really well, too!

The house has been taken over by a company, so no personal responses anymore and no response to messages sent, which is disappointing considering the price we paid to stay. There is no key to the outer door, which although on an island wasn’t ideal and felt uncomfortable. The house looks absolutely rundown with holes in the ceiling and walls, as well as leaks in roof and near windows. The cleanliness isn’t to a good standard either as we found tablets which weren’t ours underneath the bed which is not acceptable, speaking of beds, there are bed bugs! So we ended up with some nasty bites :( the directions to the house are also useless as it mentions an old school house, yet there are NO signs or maps indicating where said school house is, which is pointless and simply not thought out, based on a visitor’s view. We ended up having to locate the house by going by the picture on booking.com. Oh and no working TV. We where very disappointed sadly😔
