Discover the ultimate coastal retreat with this idyllic 3 bedroom rental home. Walk across the grassy lawn to hear the crackling surf. Have you heard the ocean crackle as the waves come in and out on the rounded ocean rocks? It crackles!! You can actually hear it from the house and the fire pit at the end of the lawn as well. Enjoy the well equipped and open home while relaxing on the spacious deck in the serenity of the sunset. It is truly a special place for your perfect Maine vacation.
Embrace nature with the proximity to Schoodic Point, Acadia National Park, many local trails, lakes and adventures. Local produce stands, lobster pounds, restaurants and shops in the area add to the experience of Maine, the way life should be!
Main floor:
Open kitchen with an island, Viking range, large refrigerator and all of the kitchen appliances you could need to make meals at home. The dining room table has a cool candle chandelier and a view of the oceanfront.
There is a large living room with a vaulted ceiling and access to the spacious deck. The library is connected to the living room, but has doors for the privacy to work or read from the extensive library of books.
There is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Second floor:
The main queen bedroom an an oceanfront view, walk in closet, and an en suite bathroom.
The second bedroom has a queen bed, with plenty of storage and natural light.
Walk out basement:
Third bedroom has a screened in porch with a water view.
Washer/dryer is in the laundry room and available for the guests use.
Children 10 and over are allowed, due to the many decks and the waterfront property. There is not direct water access at this property. Sand Cove Beach is close by!
Schoodic Point is 10 miles
Winter Harbor restaurants, grocery store, shops and the ferry to Bar Harbor is 7 miles
Bar Harbor and Acadia National park are 30 miles away.
Ellsworth with Hannafords, Shaws, Walmart, restaurants and shops 20 miles

My family loved the location of the house. It’s in a beautiful area and have beautiful views of the water. Sunrise is especially beautiful. It’s in a peaceful town that quiet. Schoodic peninsula is very close and it’s absolutely beautiful. It was also easy to book a boat tour out of winter harbor, we loved the shops like the 5 and 10, and also the restaurants in the area were great! Everyone was so nice, my family loved it for our vacation. The home is very nice, beautiful kitchen, lovely views, nice deck out back. I so glad we booked here and decided to drive into bar harbor and Acadia a few days to avoid the crowds while at home it was very peaceful and beautiful.

The house was very nice and in a quiet area. The view was wonderful, right on the ocean. We left our door open at night to listen to the ocean. Susan will not communicate through VRBO so when she sent an email (from Simply Rentals USA), I didn’t recognize it, so I deleted it. We arrived on a rainy evening and we didn’t have the code to get in so I checked my VRBO app and there was nothing there. I called and had to leave a message. She called back about 20 min later and said she sent the info to my email and gave me the code. She seemed upset that I didn’t play the game by her rules. The next day, I messaged and asked where I could find Kleenex and bath soap/wash. She answered me that there is shampoo in the shower and that is what I can use for bath soap. Sorry but shampoo is not bath soap as it leaves a film on your body. I had to provide my own bath soap. I was told that they don’t provide Kleenex. The bed has cheap microfiber sheets that are not comfortable because they are hot to sleep in even if it is cool in the room. I don’t like them.I am used to communicating through the VRBO app because it is very easy to find information concerning your stay.
