We celebrated a late family Christmas weekend at this beautiful property. It was definitely one of the nicest and cleanest properties we have stayed at, right down to the bedding and kitchenware, it even included dog dishes, treats and a dog bed. I can't say again how new and clean everything was, would definitely stay here again!

Surrounded by the beauty of Galena countryside, in a perfect setting. The house had everything, but getting a good night sleep is always a major priority for us on vacation and this house has the most comfortable beds! We loved sitting around the fireplace every evening, as well. If I had one suggestion it would be that a Keurig coffee machine be added. Otherwise, it was one of the best VRBO stays we have had in sixty years.

We had a friend’s group consisting of 3 couples staying in Eagle Ridge for a Galena getaway weekend. We found this property to be very comfortable, and worked out great allowing each couple to have their own bathroom. The kitchen and common areas are perfect for playing games, communal cooking, and socializing. Beds are comfy and the fireplaces and hot tub were really appreciated on a cool weekend.
Be aware the property and community have quite a few rules: for example, no shoes in the house, no outside lights after dark, no outside noise after 10 pm, must shower prior to using the hot tub and sign a separate hot tub rider. There are fees associated with violating these rules. We did not run into any issues with the rules, just make sure you pay attention to the rental agreement.
The host was very responsive and even included a welcome gift upon our arrival. The checkout list is reasonable, you do need to take garbage to the central collection location about 1 mile away using your key card.
We recommend this property for a great weekend in Galena!

The house was a perfect fit for our group of 8. Hot tub was also a wonderful addition. Rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We loved the cozy fireplace in the living room as well. We appreciated the welcome gift of goodies as well! Looking forward to another stay in the future!

The house and the peaceful area around the house encouraged relaxation and fun with friends and/or family. We loved that 3 of the four bedrooms each had their own bathroom and still a fourth 1/2 bath for the extra bedroom and 2nd family room. When we were there, we spent most of our time in front of the fireplace enjoying the food and snacks spread all over the island and kitchen table! We were impressed by how clean the home was and comfortable the beds were. We hope we will be able to book again in the future.

Perfect property for women of “a certain age” who each require their own room. Only one bedroom on the main level (one more upstairs and two in the basement) but easy stairs to navigate. The house contained everything one could possibly need and we lacked for nothing. Highly recommended.

Our family enjoyed our 3 days at Walnut Grove. The home was clean and perfect for our family of 8. Kitchen and family room were open and comfortable for visiting. Nice to have the grill and kitchen had what we needed. We loved the privacy at the end of the lane. We used the firepit, played bags and kids rode their bikes on the driveway. Bonus to have the pool and activities at the Owners Club. Hope to come back next summer!!

This house was so clean, updated and user friendly for a group of people with a nice and open concept living area. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe with lots of amenities to offer. There were wineries nearby, the house was a short 10 minute drive to downtown Galena where there’s shops and restaurants galore and the house offered access to a community center with pool, fitness equipment, indoor basketball court, etc with was really nice. I’d highly recommend it for a girls weekend or family getaway. Great accommodations and homeowner was helpful, friendly and very responsive.

The house is beautiful, gorgeous wood work throughout. We’ve rented about 10 properties in Galena over the years and this has top billing, it was unanimous. The kitchen is well appointed and it’s a small thing but having large garbage cans on porch is nice so you don’t have to run and dump the garbage everyday.

We were in Galena for our daughters wedding and the Walnut Grove House space was exactly what I was looking for. Working with Mark was excellent, his response is very quick even answered questions for me about parking for our guest for shuttle pick up.
Walnut Grove House has everything you could possibly need. I’m a stickler about pump hand soap I always bring my own. I didn’t have to at WGH, Mark provided it! My big bag of all my extras I always bring when I stay at VRBO’s I didn’t even need which was awesome. Beds are super comfortable linens are high quality as well has the towels!
Blankets to curl up on the couches are also provided. all the parking passes were already in our unit, were as our friends had to go down to the owners club and get them, seriously Mark thinks of everything.
We will definitely stay here again,
and I would say don’t hesitate to book this property you won’t be disappointed!!

We loved this house! It is such a comfortable home in a beautiful setting. Had everything we needed in the kitchen as we grilled and cooked dinner one night and ate in Galena the next night. Beds were all comfortable plenty of bathrooms to make getting ready to go out a breeze. Loved sitting on the screened porch for morning coffee. Mark was great and easy to communicate with and answered any questions. Would definitely come back with our group again.

Girls weekend and tried the newly renovated spa. Loved the layout of the home and privacy for everyone. Nice screened in porch. Only recommendation is to bring your own fireside chairs with cup holders. Mark was a pleasure to work with. We will stay again for sure.

This was a perfect easy spring break getaway. We live 2 1/2 hours away. It was a great escape! I have four boys and a girl, ages 9 to 17. We did a few things that I love doing when visiting a new town - we went on a nearby hike, walked through the town, went out to eat (Campeche had super food and service!), and got treats from a local bakery. (which I cannot remember the name of, but were absolutely delicious).
However, by far the best part of our trip was our homebase. Mark’s place is big and beautiful. It had everything we needed. The nearby owners club was a big hit. My boys spent several hours on the basketball court, getting in pick up games with other kids. We also enjoyed the game room (ping pong, pool & more), and the swimming pool. But perhaps our favorite part was all coming back and huddling in the hot tub at Mark’s house. Amazing!
We saw deer in the backyard, and gazed at beautiful night skies filled with some of the brightest stars I have ever seen.

Everything was as promised on the VRBO website. The home is spacious, airy, and cozy all at the same time. Furnishings were in excellent shape as were the beds. The outdoor hot tub is conveniently located and secluded. We would highly recommend this location to stay while visiting Galena. The owners club offers a pool, weight room, etc, which we utilized and enjoyed. It’s a drive to get there but not any great distance. It’s a multi turn, slow windy path to Galena, one I wouldn’t want to navigate in the dark during a snowstorm, but that would be the only potential negative out of this location. Mark was very attentive and friendly with the couple of requests we had. Thx for the great hospitality!

This marked our third trip to Galena with fiends where we stayed here. As always, everything was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we could hope for. The host is amazing at communicating and ensures your stay is a great one. Each time we leave, the kids start asking when we can come back- the perfect spot for making memories!

This is the perfect place to staying the Galena area. Quiet and a very relaxing location. The house provides everything you could need for a great vacation.
