I love the location and the privacy from other people. The place is beautiful and far enough away from everyone, that you feel a sense of peace, however so many things are close as well where you can go out and explore. It is a perfect girl's weekend.
There were some amenities that just needed to be looked over..... just make sure to restock on basic things like soap, dishwashing soap, dish sponges. Also maybe Invest in a very small fire pit, larger tv, and maybe a railing to get down to the kayaks. Very small additions that would make a big impact. Thanks for everything!!

It was very comfortable, quiet, and peaceful. It is very historically educational in that everything is labeled like a mini museum. Very unique for sure. The stairs to the loft (watch your head, lol)has 2 comfy twins. The AC worked fantastic! Has alot of my grandmother's taste, which was nostalgic for me. The TV was streaming many networks, so pleasant to watch an after dinner movie. I brought my food prep, so I enjoyed cooking. The fridge is perfect! You have everything you need as in pots, pans, utensils, etc. Coffee/Tea pot uses ground coffees. Reminds me of a medium tiny home type cabin. The bathroom is nice. The water gets hot fast, so be careful about that. Don't let kids use the hot unsupervised. Blending the temperature is easy tho. Excellent water pressure! I brought my fan for noise, but the unit helped without it. I definitely will stay here again. Just remember it is a cabin, a rustic beauty. It does have black out curtins in front windows. Easy paved walking road leads down to the kayaking/fishing area. The steps are a tad scary to me. So use caution but oh what a gorgeous view. The hosts are an absolutely amazing couple. Sign the guest book that started in 1982. That was neat! Just creature comforts. The deer will visit. Its definitely the wilderness, and I loved it! You also will find all kinds of outside antique treasures.
The steps to the water is a tad too steep for me, so I was a little scared. But once I got over the scary areas, going more into the grass, I loved it.

I love the secluded location of the cottage...it provides privacy, yet minutes from everything you need.
