Great base for the Peak District if you’re not a light sleeper

Fantastic cottage and great location however if you’re a light sleeper (like me) then you need to be aware that the local church rings its bells every 15 mins 24 hours a day (who needs church bells to tell you it’s 03:15!!!). Locals do seem to mind but I couldn’t get used to it in the 2 nights we were there. Didn’t bother my kids though.

Nothing apart from the bells!
