A cute apartment with a mezzanine bed. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, although not the greatest food in any of them. Mini marts close by for supplies. Ideal for exploring the old town and up to the castle. It was a ten-minute walk into the newer part of town and the metro stations. Train station was a 10 minute walk.
The Alfama area is very hilly with lots of steep inclines, flights of stairs and slippy cobblestones. This is not the area you want to stay in if you have trouble walking. The apartment itself is up 4 narrow flights of stairs.
No electric kettle, just an old hob kettle that had a broken lid and spout. The plug in the kitchen sink didn't work so that made washing up challenging.
The property was very hard to find, the taxi dropped us off and just pointed in a general direction. It took us a good 15 minutes and much consulting of Google Maps to find the place.

Wish the owner show us how to go to the property (Best way) there was no guide
No guide to address and kettle got tea leaves left cleaning should be refunded actually

The charm of the old Portuguese house and a great location. It is in the heart of Alfama, small streets and Fado music. We got a loft which was quite decent.
The house needs refurbishment. The bathtub a d tbe flooring had cracks, the cabinets were broken and the iron table was not stable....these items should be very easy to fix amd should be provided to customers when good prices are charged.

De locatie was geweldig
Appartement was lekker ruim
De broodrooster was kapot, geen waterkoker voor thee aanwezig.
De douchedeur was stuk, hing een gordijntje voor.
De wc begaf het, we konden niet meer doortrekken, gelukkig een emmer gevonden, dus die gebruikt om door te spoelen. Contact proberen te leggen met de host: niet gelukt
