Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd hier gehad. Hele lieve eigenaren die heel goed voor je zorgen zodat je een heerlijke tijd hebt.
Ontbijt en avondeten waren heerlijk. We hebben met Mike een boottocht gedaan om te gaan snorkelen en naar een ander mooi strand te gaan. Ondanks dat snorkelen voor ons als gezin erg spannend was en het varen bij 2 van ons evenwichtsproblemen veroorzaakte was het evengoed voor ons een hele mooie herinnering. Op de laatste avond verzorgde Mike nog een karaoke avond, superleuk!

Direkt am Strand in einem ruhigen Fischerdorf gelegen. Sehr sympathisches Betreiberpaar.
Die Treppe im Beachfront-Bungalow ist extrem steil. Nichts für Rentner 😉

I had the most amazing time here and am super grateful for being welcomed as part of the family like the way I was. I splurged on the family room and woke up in literal paradise with the most amazing and peaceful view, unreal. I ended up staying during the last festival night of the year and went out with the family. They look after you like their own. The rest of my stay was a much needed calm and serene time to recharge after months in SE Asia. Probably the most impactful stay I’ve had the whole time. 100% would recommend and a place I do intend on coming back to.

Without a doubt, this was the best place we stayed during our two weeks in the Philippines. A truly magical spot, far away from any tourist activity, where you immediately feel at home and naturally integrated into the local village of Bucana.
The welcome from Mike and his family was simply incredible. The experiences he offers through his fishing boat are unforgettable, taking you snorkeling around untouched islands where you are often completely alone, making you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden paradise. On board, he also prepares amazing fresh meals such as grilled chicken and fish, served with fruit, all cooked on the spot.
We even had a karaoke evening with him, which was absolutely hilarious, we had such a great time and shared a lot of laughs. The homemade dinners in the evening were also excellent, and he even offers laundry service if needed. Truly, everything is thought of to make you feel comfortable and well taken care of.
Mike is always attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. We shared some wonderful moments together.🍻
The location in Bucana is just extraordinary, falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up with your feet in the sand. We stayed as a family with three children in a traditional beachfront bungalow, which made the experience even more authentic.
We were also lucky enough to witness baby turtles hatching on the beach in Bucana, right in front of Mike’s place.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, human, and truly immersive experience close to local life.
What we didn’t like: absolutely nothing.
