Emna and the other front desk manager (Roderick?) were excellent and helpful hosts. The hotel has the feel of a simple but logical stay, it reminded me of a hotel in Berlin... Did not find it fancy, but easy, with great location, good vibe. Large tub, good water pressure, heavy shades for dark room at night. Sufficient breakfast of yoghurt, breads, juice, coffee.. the location is adjacent within a couple of blocks of large souk / Medina , also old style for locals shopping streets and iconic large new strolling avenues. Safe even with kids day and night.
The patio was weird and smelly, not sure who’d use it. But the hotel is surrounded by many reasonably priced food and dessert options, so probably no need..
the aircon is maxed at 22C so if you want it warmer at night it’d be opening the window which is immediately 28C.. something in between would be helpful.

The staff was very kind, respectful and super hospitable. They were able to accommodate our odd arrival and departure times without issue.
This would not be ideal for women traveling alone. It is on a dark alley and twice on the way back I saw a man urinating on the street or nearby. The pictures of the room looked much better online than in person, so when we got there in person we were very surprised. There also seemed to be leaking in the bathroom, but since our trip was so short we didn’t bother to address it.
