Sarah and her husband were excellent hosts - they even let us visit their working farm and showed us around. The views from the property were incredible and everything was super clean for us. Very comfy beds too.
We had a 9 month old with us and the noise did carry quite a lot from downstairs to the bedrooms so we had to be a little mindful of that. Nothing that could have been done but something to be aware of if you’re travelling with people who have different bed/wake times!

Angel Rocks was everything we could want and more. The property is situated within the Welsh hills and you can enjoy a gentle stroll or a lengthy hike from your doorstep returning to the luxury of the hot tub or fireside. The owners have thought of everything you might need, these little touches, including the incredible welcome hamper made our visit not only easy but also really special. The rooms are spacious and light. The open plan nature of the kitchen and dining area is wonderful for a large group who want to socialise but equally so the lounge area is super cosy. Communication with the hosts was helpful throughout. I very much hope we will return!

Printmakers Pushing the Boundaries (@prntbndry) stayed here while giving print making demonstrations at Hay Castle during the Hay Festival
The location was wonderful. Fantastic views all round. We watched House Martins, hares, buzzards, red kites and heard the curlews and a Cuckoo call.
The house was beautifully maintained and very spacious. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The kitchen had all the modern appliances and plenty of equipment. Lovely comfy sofas in the cosy sitting room.
But what we loved most was the glass sliding wall in the dining area. We spent a lot of time just sitting and watching the changing scenery and the antics of the wildlife. One of the rare places in the UK without noise and light pollution. A wonderful place to stay.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
