It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient. We liked being close to downtown and yet away from the crowds. We appreciated the added bonus of a beautiful hike from the end of their street.
The lighting was bright, especially the bedroom. A bedside lamp would’ve added a nice touch of ambiance.

The apartment was quiet, as Douglas Island is directly across from Juneau, so little to no traffic noise. Great views of the Gastineau Channel and the mountains. Quick 5 minute access to Juneau. Having our own kitchen and washer/dryer is always a plus on longer vacations.
Although the apartment was small, it had most everything needed. There was a musty smell, and we frequently opened the windows to get some fresh air. There was only one very small sharp knife, which could be tricky if you needed to cut things like meat.
