Location was great for our needs.
Only one working shower in a single shared bathroom is not ideal for a property of this size. The refrigerator is also far too small for such a large holiday let.

Size
Needed mainence, I had to scrub pots and other items that were left really dirty, not enough kitchen utensils or pans if you do cook. Shower in main bedroom didn't work and you need to use the downstairs toilet.

Beautiful location on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National park. Great night sky! Dedicated parking space was helpful to avoid trying to find a spot at the pub. The property itself is very spacious. Beds had lovely linen. One of the bedrooms had one of the biggest beds I’ve seen! The pub would be an attraction to most, it has a lovely beer garden, reasonably priced drinks. Didn’t eat there but have in the past.
I felt like the lodge was a bit rough round the edges and needed some updates. It also wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked, our feet were quickly dirty from the wooden floors and this would’ve benefitted from a mop beforehand. Beds were clean though.
The noise from the micro zoo and beer garden was an issue for us as all the windows and doors had to be thrown open due to the heatwave. The cranes and exotic birds were screaming and screeching until sunset and then from 4am. One night they were being spooked by children so it took forever for them to quieten down. I barely got any rest, and my baby was constantly waking.
My daughter fell through a loose manhole cover in the front garden and hurt herself. Luckily it wasn’t worse, just a couple of nasty bruises.
