The breathtaking ocean views and abundant wildlife to comfortable accommodation and tranquil surroundings, it’s the perfect destination to unwind and reconnect with nature.
There was honestly nothing we didn’t like—everything exceeded our expectations. The accommodation, the scenery, the peaceful atmosphere, and the overall experience were all outstanding.
The only suggestion I would make is to improve the signage on the vehicle trails, particularly the Elands Trail. We missed the turn on our first day, and on the second day we took a wrong turn that led us deep into the mountains. The vegetation became extremely dense, and unfortunately our vehicle picked up several deep scratches from the overgrown bushes. Better-placed or more visible trail markers would help prevent this and make exploring the reserve even more enjoyable.
Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we would highly recommend Gourikwa Nature Reserve to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back!
