LOCAL EXPERTISE
We explore Angel Fire often and can share family-friendly recommendations for restaurants, scenic drives, seasonal events, and activities.
GUEST ACCESS
You’ll have the entire home and garage all to yourself. The only area off-limits is a locked owner’s closet upstairs.
STAIRS REQUIRED
Bear Necessities Lodge is an elevated multi-level log cabin. Stairs are required to enter the main living area and access the upper level.
WINTER TRAVEL
During snowy or icy conditions, 4WD or AWD is required. The driveway is relatively flat and is privately plowed after approximately 4 inches of snowfall, although timing depends on active storm conditions. The Village of Angel Fire typically plows the gravel road leading to the lodge after approximately 4 inches of accumulation, but mountain conditions can change quickly. Guests should arrive in a properly equipped vehicle and be prepared for snow or ice.
SECURITY & WILDLIFE AWARENESS
Exterior cameras monitor the driveway, stairs, parking area, propane tank, side yard, and greenbelt for guest safety, property protection, and wildlife awareness. There are no cameras inside the cabin.
Mule deer, elk, and wild turkeys are frequently seen near the property and greenbelt, with occasional black bear sightings. Please enjoy wildlife from a safe distance and never feed or approach animals.
▪️ Do not leave food, coolers, or trash outdoors
