Curl up with coffee on the large deck as the morning mist lifts off the water, or gather the whole family inside for a low-key evening while the sunset turns the mountain across the lake into shades of orange and red. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area keeps everyone together, whether you're cooking a big fall dinner, playing games at the table, or just watching the lake from the couch. One of the three bedrooms includes a built-in desk/office nook — perfect if you're stretching a fall weekend into a few remote workdays surrounded by foliage instead of your usual four walls.

A few things to know before you book:
• The road to the house is dirt/gravel — fine in dry fall weather, but worth noting if rain is in the forecast.
• The washer & dryer are located in the basement, accessed from outside the home (not through an interior staircase).
• Kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, and a paddleboat are available for guests who want one more sunny fall afternoon on the water before the season turns — boats without a lake association permit are not permitted on the lake.
• Outdoor games and fishing poles are also available for guests to use.
