A miserable stay—dirty, poorly maintained, unbearably hot, and ultimately requiring us to relocate.

The worst vacation rental experience we have ever had. We were originally told we could check in at 3:00 p.m. While we were already on our way, we were informed that the cleaners were still at the property and that we couldn't check in until 5:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the extra two hours did not result in a clean home. The property was dirty—filthy in some areas—and the photos we took, including those of the windows, speak for themselves. The hot tub was not hot and it was also dirty. There were two towels on each bed...but only two washcloths in the bathroom and not hand towels or extra towels. There was broken patio furniture laying in a pile in the back yard. The house was also poorly equipped and poorly maintained. Some windows had no screens, there was no ice maker or even ice trays, several blinds were badly bent, and the back-door screen was simply lying on the ground. But the worst problem was the heat. The air conditioner did not work, and the temperature inside the house reached 87 degrees. We repeatedly contacted the management company and were assured that someone would come fix it, but no one ever came. We asked for fans and were not provided with any. We spent an absolutely miserable night trying to sleep in an unbearably hot house. We couldn't even open some of the windows to get relief because they had no screens. Some members of our family were also uncomfortable leaving windows open because we did not feel the neighborhood was particularly safe. The following day, while our family was at Universal Studios, the management company finally offered to move us to another property. We accepted, but having to pack up and move our entire family in the middle of our vacation was extremely disruptive and stressful. A vacation rental should provide a clean, safe, comfortable place to stay. This property failed on all three counts. This was an awful experience from beginning to end, and we absolutely do not recommend this property.

Quiet and safe, easy to find.

Clean, comfortable

There were no smoke detectors in this home, which was very unsafe in a place like LA in July. We reported it to the host and they just claimed they were there when they weren't.

The home was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we could want or need. They even provided a couple books and toys for our kids, which was greatly appreciated. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
