We where in the studio and it is lovely, the huge sunny terrace makes it wide. Clean bathrooms. Nice staff, Tom kindly took care of our luggage after the check-out. There is no noise from the pub.
Everything was nice. It would be great if the reception was open earlier (they open 10am).

Clean, comfortable room in a great location. Luxuriously comfortable bed, climate control and good facilities. At around $100 per night its phenomenal value for this level of comfort.

Excellent location. Only 1 km to Central Train station and Botanic Gardens. Neat well thought out accommodation area for small number of people. Quiet despite being on a busy street. We arrived late and had no problem checking in.
Sharing a bathroom that was for females but being used by males. No lift to upper floor so we struggled with our bags lugging them up.

I booked this quite last minute after my previous accommodation was cancelled, and for the price I paid, the value for money was very good. The location is excellent Darlinghurst is a great area, with plenty of brunch spots, restaurants and easy access into the city and surrounding areas. The shared areas of the property also appeared to be kept clean, and some members of staff were friendly and helpful.
There were unfortunately a few significant issues. The property is located above a casino/bar area, and some rooms are directly affected by the noise. On Friday and Saturday nights in particular, getting a good night’s sleep was extremely difficult. I was staying here while running the Sydney Marathon, so the lack of sleep before the race was particularly frustrating.
I also found cockroaches inside the microwave, which was obviously quite unpleasant and raised concerns about hygiene. Although the general property seemed clean, my room was not cleaned once during my entire six-night stay. I’m not sure whether housekeeping is only provided on request, but this was never made clear to me.
The experience with the staff was also inconsistent some were very helpful, while others seemed fairly uninterested when assistance was needed.
