We felt very lucky to have booked a room at this lovely guesthouse on the magical isle of Inishmore. Everything about our stay was great - the breakfasts, the hot tub in the backyard with breathtaking seaside views, the room facilities, and above all, Kevin's warm hospitality and care. The host really made sure that all his guests had everything they needed. We didn't bring much luggage so it took us around 25 minutes of walking to reach the house, alternatively there are bike hire places and occasional taxis near the pier. We'll be keeping very fond memories of this place and hope to return one day. Thank you!
Everything was really good, we felt quite comfortable and warm for the most part. Our room floor was a little cold to walk on without shoes though (it was mid-September), so we'd recommend to bring slippers if possible.

Port Aran House is a nice house with several rooms overlooking the see, about 20' walk from the ferry port. The host was very welcoming and friendly. He showed us the room and the facilities in the house. The next morning, the host had prepared for all people staying in the house, very nice scones and provided with different other options like fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice, bread, butter, etc. for breakfast. There were also eggs that one could use to cook if they wanted. Overall, the overnight stay was very nice.
The only issue with the place was its sound-proofing. Our room had a private bathroom but it was also adjoint to the common bathroom. Every time someone used it, you could hear a lot the noise from the water. Luckily, other residents did not use the bathroom late in the night but this might be an issue. Also the doors to the rooms do not block much the sound. Another potential comment would be that the terrace and hot tub are in front of the host's house which makes it slightly uncomfortable perhpas to use any time.
