The 86 tram (Waterfront City DocklandsBundoora RMIT) stops literally on your doorstep at Charles St/Smith St, and it runs every 5 minutes at peak hour, getting you into the CBD in 1520 minutes without much thought. Trams within the city grid are free, so you won't need a Myki for that stretch. Smith St, Victoria St, Brunswick St, Johnstone St, Fitzroy and Richmond are all on your doorstep, with St Vincent's Hospital and St Vincent's Private close by too. Nearby parks include Cambridge Street Reserve, George Street Reserve and Condell Street Park, and the closest bike share station is a 23 minute walk on Brewery Lane. It's an easy neighbourhood to fall for a golden sunrise with a local coffee, a wander through leafy Fitzroy, or an evening stroll home from the city instead of catching the tram.
