The Antler Overlook is a 2-story 2,384 square foot home less than 2 miles from downtown Bailey, 45 minutes from Denver, tucked into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains at approximately 8,000 feet in elevation. The main floor features a living space fit with a wood-burning stove where you can watch the sun set behind the mountains out of the large windows, (which you can also open for that fresh mountain air)! The main floor also holds the Dining Room, well-stocked Kitchen, Coffee Nook, Powder Bath, Laundry Room and Primary Suite. The Primary bedroom holds a king-size bed, charging-station nightstands, room-darkening insulated shades, a cozy seating area with more breathtaking views, and a connecting bath that includes a shower, jetted tub, large vanity and walk-in closet. Take the custom railing staircase down to the lower level consisting of a large 2nd living room for additional entertaining. Connect with family and entertain guests with board games, oversized connect four and unique wall-mounted classic favorites including chess and backgammon. Cuddle up next to the flickering fire in the inviting family-sized seating area next to the pellet stove - perfect reading spot or swivel around for more movie-seating. There are 2 guest bedrooms at each end of the hallway with a full bath in between. Each bedroom hosts one queen bed, charging-station nightstands, and mirrored closets. The lower story also incorporates a bonus space fit with an additional queen size pull-down bed that raises during the day to make more space for entertaining. Backyard & Wrap Around Deck: The backyard is a level grassy area fenced in from wildlife. The yard connects to the wrap-around deck which fully encompasses the mountain landscape. The deck can be accessed in 3 different areas off the main level and overlooks the 3 acre property where you can best spot wildlife grazing throughout the day. The deck features a large sectional seating area, a natural gas firepit, an additional swivel chair area for 4, string lights and sun shades during non-winter months. The bluetooth-enabled stereo system located in the Kitchen has 2 speakers inside and 2 on the patio for entertaining. ★AWD Access: Our home is located off of a maintained dirt road but does require a short drive up an unpaved, steep driveway. We advise guests to utilize an AWD or 4WD SUV for high clearance to access the home year round, but especially in snowy months (Oct-April). We have a snow plower always on call for our guests. An AWD in summer is also helpful as lots of the local roads to hiking trails are unpaved and can be rocky. THE VIEWS ARE WORTH IT! :) Our home is about a mile into the neighborhood from highway 285. While it’s not an overwhelming sound, you can hear the highway from the exterior deck as cars echo off the mountains. WIFI: *STARLINK NOW INSTALLED* Early Check-Ins: Please don't hesitate to ask! As long as a guest isn't checking out the same day, we'd be happy to accommodate an early check in time so you can start enjoying the views sooner. :) Pets Welcome: Pups are welcome with a pet fee and must be listed on the reservation (2 dogs max please). Please keep pets off furniture and be aware of mountain wildlife. The home does have a fenced yard. Guests take full responsibility for any pet incidents while on property and for picking up after them in the backyard prior to checking out. No cats allowed for allergy purposes.
