I absolutely loved my stay in Bergamo in the felicita room! The room is so beautiful, tastefully decorated, newly renovated inside a historically looking building right in the heart of the old town. The bed is super comfortable, firm and new and so is the shower and the bathroom, no bad smell coming out of it. The room is very spacious, on the 3rd floor, no elevator but this wasn’t a problem with a medium size suitcase since the staircase is ample, when you open the windows you can see old beautiful walls around you, truly special. As a female solo traveler I felt very comfortable and safe as most of the staff are kind women! Also, the room is located in the heart of the old town, so walking around at night and coming back alone didn’t feel scary as there were always people in the street. There are restaurants, bars, bakeries, anything you want just a few minutes walk :) The host is very communicative and replied to every single one of my messages super quickly. After checking in one of them walked me right to my room and explained a few details about it, made me feel very welcome :) right after checking out I was given a comprehensive recommendations list for breakfast, lunch and dinner! They even gave me a coupon for a local (and amazing) restaurant. You can definitely tell this place is run by powerful women ❤️ every detail was thought of. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else my next time in Bergamo!
This wasn’t a deal breaker for me as I am used to sleep with earphones playing white noise music, but there’s a birrieria (bar) right across the street and unfortunately tipsy and drunk people can be very loud until around 2am.

The location could not have been better. Just a few steps away from the main square. A little noisy on weekend night, but everyone on the street seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I felt the advertising on Booking.com was fraudulent. The apartment didn’t look at all like the pictures on Booking.com. When I asked the rental agency about that and showed them their own pics, they said their apartment didn’t look like the one in the picture. That left me completely confused because we rely on accurate pictures when we rent an apartment.
