It would have been good if there was a sign saying you have to go through the fisheries as this was a gate saying keep out so we weren’t sure and travelled further up the road which was a dirt track which wasn’t good for the car

Beautiful Lodge, surrounded by trees. Quiet and relaxing. Very clean. Hot tub was great.
The road up to the lodge was a dirt track covered completely in potholes. The lodge is not signposted and we got lost trying to find it as it is through an estate/fishery with barriers saying private property. No phone signal in the area so we were unable to phone for assistance or directions.
Knives and sharp objects in lower drawers and reachable by children.

As there is no reception area, the Housekeeper confirmed they would meet us at the property on arrival. As I pulled into the driveway, she was there waiting for us!
We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome, informed of all the lodge's facilities, given some information about the site we were staying on and even provided tea/coffee/sugar etc. They had even bottled some of their own well water in the fridge which was a great touch.
The lodge was spotless. I only rated this a little lower as I had to rewash some of the cutlery. It was otherwise perfect.
We wanted a scenic and secluded lodge stay after our very busy wedding earlier in the week, and we were not disappointed. We used the hot tub every day and night. By day you could hear the cows and the birds and by night you had an excellent view of the stars after the cloud had cleared.
It's very hard to criticise the lodge given it was perfect for us, but I would suggest levelling out the track on the way in, and sign posting the gates better for guests, as I had to knock on the door of the private residence that shared the drive way for directions.
