This was one of the BEST RENTALS I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. Not only was it in the best location you could ever imagine, it was so well appointed. It had everything you could ever possibly need. The bedding was exquisite. THE VIEW OUTSTANDING. The French doors opening in both rooms over looking the Sassi from a Birds Eye view. I would’ve stayed there forever if I could! The whole experience of Matera was like being was like a dream. I will be back to house hunt with my husband next spring and will definitely stay there again! Everything is right outside your door! The roof top terrace was fantastic every morning for coffee and every night to watch all the lights of the Sassi come on. What a magical experience

We were absolutely amazed by the view from the windows. It was definitely one of the most memorable things about our stay.
The apartment was beautiful and we all loved it — both us and the kids. Staying there really felt like stepping back in time, but in the best possible way. The whole place had such a special atmosphere — it felt like stepping back in time and staying in a piece of history, while still feeling like a real home.
The rooftop terrace was another highlight. We enjoyed some sun there during the day, and in the evening the city looked magical with all its little lights shining below.

Exceptional accommodation. We felt privileged to stay in such a historic apartment with a breathtaking view from the dining room, bedroom and roof terrace . The host was helpful and responsive.

I stayed with a friend for one night. Great apartment in a historic building near the cathedral. The views from the apartment and the rooftop terrace are incredible. The apartment is spacious and furnished with antiques. The host was communicative before and during the trip. I would recommend it, but note that in summer there is no A/C, per the listing.
