Filthy, flies and 8 towels
Absolutely nothing.
The place was filthy! The floors were covered with dirt, the dishwasher full of mold, showers were not cleaned, flies were everywhere, there is actually not a hot tub and the grill is a complete piece of trash. I didn’t open it up, the puddle of drippings under it told me all I needed to know. How do you advertise a property as, “Hot Tub, Game room and Grill,” when two out of the three either don’t exist or should be replaced asap?! The bunk beds are a nightmare as one can’t actually climb the ladder and get into bed, it’s climb the ladder then climb over the bed frame and then into bed! My 6 year old nephew almost fell off, so he slept with his grandma. I would’ve left if it weren’t for the fact there was family depending on me. Kudos to the photographer who took great photos and has amazing editing skills to deceive the world be guest. Make sure to change the description and make sure to add that there are only 8 towels so set aside an hour plus a day of laundry so everyone can dry off. Also, unless you enjoy the smell and health hazards of black mold DO NOT open the dishwasher and plan on hand washing all your dishes, which by the way, is definitely an inconvenience and takes away precious family time. The day before departure to the Grand Lake palace I called the number in the email to get the door code and the guy who answered was extremely rude and acted as though my call just inconvenienced his entire day! I was under the impression What a waste of money! Please make sure future guests know to pack a bug zapper and a fly swatter for each hand. Air filter was filthy, front door sticks hard, remote for lights and fans is definitely a bad idea for a rental property. Maybe a light switch for the lights and remote for the fan. I have photos and will be sharing in hopes nobody I know has the same experience. YELP here I come.
