Perfect spot for day trips to visit surrounding Vaucluse tourist sites

Location was perfect for our needs. Quiet area. Large living area. Beautiful terrasse. Kitchen equipped with everything we required for cooking a few meals at the property. Very comfortable beds.

All was perfect aside occasional ad-hoc minor wifi slowdowns.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful location but spoilt by lack of care and attention to the pool area.

The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped with kitchen appliances. The outside space to the gite is cool, comfortable and set in glorious surroundings.

We were there for 2 weeks and asked to rent a change of bed linen for the second week. We were told this wasn’t possible and as a washing machine was available to us we could wash the linen ourselves…… on holiday!!?!! The gite was supplied with only just adequate crockery, cutlery and glasses which necessitated the constant use of a half empty dishwasher. There is a beautiful pool area but sadly neglected - the walls of the pool were covered in black algae, paving stones around the pool were missing and weeds growing around the perimeter. Beds were torn and mattresses were not supplied for the wooden beds. We didn’t use the pool and “managed” with the beds.

Utter relaxation in the South of France!

We stayed at Bastide La Gravière for four nights. It was simply wonderful! The apartment is just about a mile outside of Lourmarin, easy to get to by car, and easy parking. We got clear instructions for picking up the keys from a lockbox. The unit itself is spacious and sun-filled, though you can pull the drapes to regulate the light, and there are blackout shades that you can put down for sleeping at night. We used Lourmarin as a base for visiting the Luberon region, and it was so nice to be able to come back from a day of touring and know that we could take a dip in the amazing pool at the property. The property owners were conscientious about allowing us to enjoy the pool with a sense of privacy. Reading a book by the poolside, looking out on the olive tree grove and the surrounding hills was magical. The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment if you wish to cook meals during your stay, although we chose to eat our meals in town. There is a lovely patio just off of the bedroom where we enjoyed a glass of rosé with a view of the flowers and trees. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were clean and functioned well. The property owner stopped by on our fist evening to make sure that we had everything we needed. We had a lovely chat, and he left us to enjoy our stay. We thought about walking into Lourmarin from the property, but drove instead. There is ample parking in Lourmarin. The walk to town would take about 20 minutes, partly along the road but mostly along a trail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We were asked to dispose of our garbage and recyclables at the end of the stay at a location nearby in the neighborhood, but we had to drive to get there and there was no clear place to leave the garbage, just the recyclables.

Lage war super. Wohnung war toll eingerichtet und alles da was man braucht. Der Pool war klasse. Die Vermieter auch.
