The location is incredible as you are right smack in the middle of everything. It is right in the Grassmarket and just a quick walk to Victoria street and the Royal Mile. The rooms and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was nice and shampoo and body wash were provided.

I think the reviews understated how loud it gets outside of the flat on certain nights. One of the nights we stayed was Saturday night and the crowd noise made it very hard to sleep. We wanted to open the windows because it was quite hot and stuffy, but opening the windows made the crowd noise even louder. This is absolutely no fault of the owner of course, but something to be aware of.

The location is good, the small snacks were welcome, there was a bottle of wine too (but we didn’t drink it). The fans in the rooms were useful as the flat was unexpectedly warm.

There was a lot more late night / early morning street noise than we were expecting and that woke all of us up each night. The double beds are the smallest type of double
