The apartment itself was wonderful, except for the door and lock, which were way too difficult.
The door to the apartment was very difficult to open and close---something with the door frame required us to push very hard just to be able to turn the deadbolt lock. I reported this the first night we were there, and the hosts responded, but never did anything about it over the next 3 days. And possibly the dumbest part is the 10 DIGIT code to unlock the door EVERY TIME. Using 4 or 6 digits is perfectly safe---10 digits is unheard of in the dozens of rentals I've stayed at. So unless you memorize the 10 digits immediately, getting into the apartment often takes 3 hands---one to enter the code and twist the lock, one to push the door really hard while twisting, and one to hold the phone with the 10 digit code on it.

What breakfast? The location was excellent. Within sight of Coligny Square, basically the center of South Beach. Could walk everywhere to restaurants, shops, entertainment, grocery, beach access.
There was no microwave, which is a pretty basic thing needed in a vacation apt. Few things needed fixing, a stove eye and a power strip making a lamp beside the sofa inoperable. There was also a missing handrail on the last stair up to the 3rd floor. Not safe.
