Great stay at Orchestra house

The host was incredibly kind and helpful, provided us with all the information needed in time for our visit. The apartment was very cosy and clean in quiet street, but near the lively part of the neighbourhood, which suited us perfectly. The underground train station was near - 5 to 10 minutes by feet. The apartment has beautiful balcony! Overall great experience, really enjoyed our visit.

There is not much cooking equipment in the kitchen, but in the end we found pretty much everything we needed :).

Not worth the cost

The memory foam bed was firm, and we liked that.

Orchestrahouse was in a very sketchy neighborhood. There is a ton of graffiti on buildings and trash all over the street. It is far from the main area of Rome for tourism. The Vatican is 32 minutes by car, which is 23 kilometers. Trains were down when we arrived, so we had to travel by bus, which had no air conditioning. Had a hard time even getting into the building. Directions to get in were not sent ahead of time. It was 1:21 when i asked for the information since they didn't notify me ahead of time. We didn't have phone/internet service(which was my fault). We had to go to a restaurant to get wifi just to get intouched with them. Then due to language barriers, they couldn't understand why I couldn't get i to the building (they require you to call a number to have door buzzed to let you in main building) obviously if I dont have phone service. I can't call to be let in. A key to the main building should be outside in a lockbox. Once we finally got in the building (I rang all the neighbors just to get someone to buzz us in), thankfully, someone answered. I hated to do it, but it was necessary to enter the building. Once you get into the building, it's ALL STAIRS (75 of them) 4th floor stairs at that. The door to the apartment wouldn't open. The handle just keeps spinning. We ran out of toilet paper, TV didn't work, and stove top wouldn't come on. There isn't a microwave, so we couldn't even make hot water. The shower has mold in it. The back door patio isn't as nice in pictures. the door on the outside doesn't have a handle to get back in. If you're okay not being comfortable and being inconvenienced, this is the place for you!
