Book it! We thoroughly enjoyed this house. It's very cool and kitschy, like being in a time capsule. Everything was clean and the bed sheets are so soft. There is definitely internet and a tv in the main room. It's an easy short walk to town. It's located right behind a church in a safe neighborhood with a basketball hoop right across the street. If you're looking for cozy, relaxing, affordable and cool - this is it!

The house was convenient to the venue where we had reservations for a dinner show. It was charming and clean, except for the unflushed toilet when we arrived. I had messaged the host on the vrbo site on 3/27 with a question about our stay, and never got a response. The front porch light didn't work, and we had difficulty getting the heating system to work. It got unseasonably cold the night we stayed, and we were uncomfortable while trying to get the house warmed up.

We were so happy to have a place to stay near Mount Vernon in Gambier, Ohio. Walking into this house felt like walking into the 1950s so if you like that kind of nostalgia, this is the house for you. Did not have any Wi-Fi available. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate with.
