The pool, the pool towels, the easy check in

WiFi was appalling and reception were quite curt re this. Also as a tired foreigner I found the tone of the comms quite rude: if I asked something that there was already information shared they would repaint like head teachers. Bossy.

Great stay as a charming old style motel. We had the 3 bedroom suite. It was nicely updated. Breakfast was simple, but excellent. There were local pastries both sweet and savory that were provided and heated up for you. Also real juices, milk, yogurt and fruit. I don't know when the place was originally built, but it looks like it could have been the 60's or 70's. This is one of those that's been updated to bring back the nostalgia. It definitely brought back memories for me from traveling cross country multiple times in the late 1970's. It has the charm in spades. The beds were very comfortable for my wife and I. good bed sheets. We ended up not using the pool. The nights are colder now at the end of the summer and that meant cold water. We have descent weather, but it wasn't hot either. If it had been steamy and hot, we definitely would have used it. We don't have a dog, but this place it dog friendly including a separate dog park slightly up the hill where your dog can run free in a large enclosure.

Rooms were clean, but some items are showing some age (50 plus years). It's hard to find a perfect balance between keeping a place financially viable and spending a fortune rebuilding everything. I think they have a good balance. We would totally stay here again. If you have a family group the big three bedroom, 2 bathroom suite is great. I'd totally stay in a normal room if it was just my wife and I. This is clearly not a brand new resort with everything perfect, but it has the charm of the 60's/70's motels. We loved the experience over all.

It was clean, well kept. Clearly a lot of care is going into this project. The pool area was nice. FYI it is a dog friendly hotel - which means there are quite a few dogs. I wouldn’t book here if you’d rather avoid that. :)

Breakfast is included, but felt a little bit weird because you had to ask for the specific items. I’m sure this is better for the host, as then people don’t waste food. Just not the typical experience.

Die sehr guten Bewertungen können wir beim besten Willen nicht nachvollziehen. Wir sind völlig ratlos, wie es dazu kommt. Das Zimmer wird nachts nicht richtig dunkel. Von draußen dringt der Straßenlärm ins Zimmer, drinnen läuft ein nicht auszustellender Generator(?) die ganze Nacht durch. Und zum Frühstück gibt es Joghurt, einen Apfel, eine Mandarine und: Ein einziges Kleines Stückchen (in der Größe eines wirklich kleinen Stückchen Pizza) zu essen. Auf die Frage, ob man ein zweites Stückchen bekommen könnte, hieß es "Normalerweise nicht, aber ich kann ja mal eine Ausnahme machen".
